Assistant Pastry Chef

The Assistant Pastry Chef role at Kings Creek Country Club is the perfect opportunity to collaborate with an experienced Pastry Chef to produce breads, pastries, pizzas, cakes, cookies, and more!

General Duties and Responsibilities

The Assistant Pastry Chef works under the direct supervision of the Executive Pastry Chef, providing part-time help with dessert menu items, banquet pastries, breads, special order cakes, and pizza dough. As an Assistant Pastry Chef, you assist in the day-to-day operations of producing pastries and baked goods. You collaborate with the pastry chef on daily tasks and help to generate new and innovative ideas. In addition to making pastries and breads, other duties include assessing inventory and supplies, maintaining safe and sanitary working conditions, helping develop recipes and menus, and/or suggesting alternative baking methods.

What we're looking for:

• Prior pastry experience or education required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including some weekends and holidays.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Background check required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Work is primarily standing and walking primarily on a level surface, though occasionally slippery floor.
• Must be able to work standing for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand and frequently lift/move 50-100 lbs.
• Requires communicating with other staff members, which includes talking, hearing and visual acuity sufficient to perform these major functions.
• Moderate noise level in the work environment.
