Service Bartender - Seasonal

Are you interested in a summer job in Rehoboth Beach where you can serve cocktails and refreshments in the sun? Our Service Bartending position could be perfect for you! We are seeking both full-time and part-time applicants who are 21+ years of age.

What you'd be doing:

• Assist with opening and closing duties, such as restocking the service bar and making sure servers at the Pool Café are well-stocked with sufficient materials.
• Keep the service bar area clean by wiping down surfaces and removing used glassware.
• Learn about Kings Creek's poolside menu items and cocktail recipes to be knowledgeable for members and their guests.
• Take orders, mix and serve drinks, and process payments during busy hours.
• Provide friendly and attentive service to members and their guest.
• Speak to members in a positive and polite way, answer questions, and engage in conversation.
• Assist servers when needed to make sure service hours go smoothly.

What we're looking for:

• Availability beginning early May 2023 through August/October 2023.
• Experience working in casual and fine dining settings preferred.
• 21 years or older to be of legal age to handle and serve alcohol.
• Maintain a courteous and friendly personality and keep a professional and clean appearance to meet employee dress code.
• Capable of problem solving and using communication to handle a fast-paced environment in a calm and professional way.

Details to note:

• Work required standing and walking for prolonged period of time on a primarily level surface, though occasionally slippery floor.
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand, and occasionally lift or move 50-100 lbs.
• Requires communicating with other staff members, which includes talking, hearing and visual acuity sufficient to perform these major functions.
• Moderate noise level in the work environment.
