Job Desription:

  • The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all Kitchen Operations
  • Mentors the kitchen staff and makes sure all team members adhere to culinary standards and safety protocols
  • Manages inventory, places orders and maintains food cost controls
  • Will assume the role of Executive Chef during their absence
  • Assists with cost control and budgeting
  • Enforces all health and safety regulations
  • Maintains and organizes the kitchen areas

Requirements:

  • A degree in Culinary Arts is preferred but not required
  • Minimum of five years experience in high volume restaurants or comparable hospitality environments
  • Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
  • Proficient with inventory control, cost control, budgeting, scheduling and ordering systems
  • Good organization skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience working in an upscale operations
